While we anxiously wait until summer for our Signature brand Gojimama gojies berries to come again to the land of Mei-Guo (America), we offer two choices for goji berries. Both are Lycium barbarum.
Plum Flower Goji berries- Superior berry size, similar to our signature gojimama. We recommend this one. They are low in sulfur (nothing added), chlorine free, and aluminum phosphate free. They are large (about 240 berries per 50 grams.)
Ningxia King Goji berries- They are a “king” berry from Ningxia province that are grown conventionally and we label them as containing sulfites. They are heat dried.
They are a slightly smaller size than our signature brand (about 330 berries in 50 grams), with a little more color variation, a slight bit less sugar, and have a few more irregular shapes included.
Gojies can be snacked on dry, like raisins, or re-hydrated for plump, juicy treats. Cook them in rice or soup, toss them into salads, include them in shakes and smoothies, or just add them to your favorite cup of tea for a delightful, mildly sweet taste. Try a handful or more every day for great nutrition. Your eyes will love you for it.
